Privacy policy

Plain summary first: this site shows you cost estimates and carries no advertising today, and runs no analytics script. The calculators keep nothing you type. The details, in full, follow — and if anything here stops matching what the site actually does, that is a bug; report it via the contact page.
Advertising
No advertising code runs on this site today. If this site is approved for Google AdSense, Google AdSense will serve advertisements on it, and this policy's advertising section will be updated in the same deploy that adds any advertising code. Once ads serve, third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites, and where you have consented, ads may be personalized based on those prior visits.
Your cookie and ad choices
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting https://www.aboutads.info. Those Google-operated controls exist independently of this site and work whether or not this site shows ads.
Consent management
No consent management platform runs on this site today, because there is no advertising code to consent to. If this site is approved for Google AdSense, advertising will ship together with Google's certified consent management platform (AdSense Privacy and messaging with Consent Mode v2), which shows a consent message to visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, and a US states privacy message where state privacy laws apply; declining the US states privacy message means Google serves ads under restricted data processing. The "Privacy choices" link in the footer of every page currently opens this section of the privacy policy; once the consent platform is live, the same link will reopen the consent manager and will serve as the opt-out-of-sharing mechanism under applicable US state privacy laws.
US state privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA and similar laws)
If you live in California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have rights over personal information, and here is how they map to this site:
- What we collect: this site itself collects no personal information from visitors who browse and use the calculators. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you send — name, email address, and your message — and use it only to reply.
- What third parties collect: no advertising vendor collects anything from your visit today, because no ad code runs on this site. If Google AdSense approves this site and ads begin serving, advertising vendors, including Google, may collect cookie and device identifiers and activity data to serve and measure ads — identifiers that can constitute personal information under state law — and this policy will be updated in the same deploy.
- No sale: We do not sell your personal information for money. If ads ever serve here and state law treats sharing data for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing," the opt-out will be the "Privacy choices" footer link (restricted data processing) and the Google links above.
- Right to know and delete: for anything you sent us through the contact form, ask at the address on the contact page and we will confirm, provide, or delete it. We keep no other visitor records to produce or delete.
- No discrimination: the site works identically whether or not you opt out — every calculator and page is free either way.
Analytics
This build of the site includes no analytics script — nothing counts or records your visit. When analytics is enabled, it will be Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service that does not use cookies or track you across sites, and this section will be updated in the same deploy.
The calculators
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser and do not transmit or store the numbers you enter. Bedrooms, soil type, tank size — none of it leaves your device, and reloading the page clears it.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes what is live on the site the day it is served. If the advertising or analytics stack changes, this page changes in the same update — not after. The date at the top is the reliable signal. Related pages: terms of use, about this site, and the methodology page for how the cost figures themselves are handled.
